Work To Start Oct. 23 On Jamestown Bridge: RITBA
Some lane closures will be required, but the work is being done at night.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—Work is about to start on the Jamestown Bridge, the state said Tuesday. The job, which is being described as "joint work and repavement work" to the North Kingstown side, starts Oct. 23 and lasts until Nov. 2. It will require lane closures in North Kingstown from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
"This is night work," RITBA said. The lane closures will happen in the approach area just before drivers get on the bridge. But motorists should anticipate narrow lanes during the day when a "modified traffic pattern" will be in effect, the state said.
