4 Charged In Pawtucket Baby's Death: Reports
Police found in a Pawtucket apartment Sunday an unresponsive child with significant bruising on his face, WPRI reported.
PAWTUCKET, RI — Three women and one man, all from Pawtucket, are facing charges of child endangerment and manslaughter in the Sunday death of an infant, according to multiple reports that cite police.
The four adults, all of whom lived in one apartment, were taken into police custody Sunday after police found in the apartment an unresponsive child with significant bruising on his face, WPRI reported. The child later died at the hospital.
Three women — Carolina V. Ledo, 22, Carla Sousa, 32, and Daniela Ledo, 25, — were charged with child endangerment, while one man — Joao Resendes, 25 — was charged with manslaughter, three counts of second-degree child abuse, and child endangerment, according to WPRI.

All four were arraigned Monday and Resendes was held at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, WLNE reported. He will return to court Wednesday.
