- Fifteen-year-old William Derby of Pawtucket, a Jaqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts student has been named one of the winners of the Trinity Rep playwright contest for his short play, “The Great, Great Outdoors.” The play will be performed at Trinity Rep during a free public reading featuring Brown/Trinity master of fine arts students and resident acting company members on May 10. - Recognize individuals whose efforts, in any line of endeavor, have made a lasting impact and highlighted the heritage of the citizens of the city of Pawtucket? The Pawtucket Hall of Fame Committee is currently seeking nominations for 2022 inductees. Do you know anyone who should be on the list? (Valley Breeze)
- In an effort to help keep adults educated in the age of technology, the Pawtucket Public Library has announced digital literacy classes for adults. Courses include Microsoft Word, basic computer skills, internet basics classes, Microsoft Excel and One Spanish language internet basics class. All classes are free to attend. (Valley Breeze)
- The Pawtucket School Department is co-sponsoring the upcoming community resource event day with the city of Pawtucket offices. The event will be held at Nathanael Greene Elementary School, Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food trucks, prize giveaways and more. (Valley Breeze)
