- "Friends and family gathered for a memorial run on Monday to remember a Pawtucket firefighter who passed away last week." (WJAR)
- Police say a 66-year-old Pawtucket man who witnessed a larceny was struck by the suspect’s vehicle Tuesday morning on Mineral Spring Avenue. The vehicle fled and the man is recovering from his injuries. (WPRI)
- Federal prosecutors say Edwin Otero, who had an apartment in Pawtucket, was the violent ringleader of a two-state heroin trafficking ring. On Monday, a Cape Cod man, pegged as a low-level distributor for Otero, was sentenced to prison. He the first to plead guilty in the case, and a dozen others, including Otero, are awaiting trial or sentencing. (Pawtucket Patch)
- The Pawtucket Stop & Shop is now offering its customers free electric vehicle charging. The grocery chain is teaming up with Volta, a company that puts charging stations “where consumers live, work, shop and play." (Pawtucket Patch)
- Master Gardeners from the University of Rhode island are maintaining historical gardens at the Slater Mill Historic Site. Plants include heirloom vegetables, cotton plants, flax for making linen, and flowers and herbs that would have been used to make dyes. One challenge? A resident woodchuck. (URI News)
