Framingham Shooting Suspect Arrested In Pawtucket
Axel Mercado was wanted in Massachusetts for attempted murder. He was arrested in Pawtucket early Friday.

PAWTUCKET, RI — A Boston man wanted in connection with a shooting in Framingham, Massachusetts was arrested early Friday in Pawtucket.
Rhode Island State Police, Massachusetts State Police and the U.S. Marshals arrested Axel Mercado, 40, according to a media release. Mercado faces a slew of charges, including attempted murder.

Police allege that on Dec. 29 Mercado shot a man inside a house. The victim was injured and transported to the hospital. Framingham police in February identified Mercado as the suspect, distributed his photo, and asked the public for help to track him down.
