• Pawtucket Fugitive Nabbed: Cops (patch.com) — Residents in Pawtucket are learning that a 39-year-old city fugitive, David Aybar, has been captured by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit. Authorities say Aybar, wanted as a fugitive from Massachusetts, was arraigned in Third Division District Court and remanded to the Sheriffs Department while he awaits return to that state.
   

• Rhode Island football game dates at Centreville Bank announced (providencejournal.com) — Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket will host all of URI football’s 2026 home games while Meade Stadium is renovated, bringing more college football directly into the city. The venue will also share National Women’s Soccer League action, with Boston Legacy FC playing select home matches there as Gillette Stadium is used for World Cup games.
