Here are the top three stories in Pawtucket today:

  1. Are you looking to buy a new home in the Pawtucket Area? Check out the newest properties to hit the market. (Pawtucket Patch)
  2. The U.S. Department of Labor filed a lawsuit against North Providence Primary Care Associates Inc., North Providence Urgent Care Inc., Center of New England Primary Care Inc., and the Center of New England Urgent Care Inc. in 2019 following an investigation that revealed the four Rhode Island medical practices underpaid nearly 100 employees and failed to accurately pay them for overtime. The federal court said that all four facilities were in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and order the facilities to pay $175,000 in wages, and each pay $50,000 in civil money penalties.
  3. Using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Stacker has compiled a list of the highest and lowest paying jobs that require a 2-year degree in the Providence metro area. Number one on the list is funeral home manager, with an annual mean salary of $111,110 locally. Number 28 is pre-school teacher (except special education), with an annual mean salary of $36,270 locally. (What'sUpNewp)
