The case stems from a broader city probe into possible criminal activity within the fire department, which led to multiple terminations and an ongoing lawsuit, and follows earlier discipline over an EMT call where a patient later died.

Fire at multi-family home in Central Falls displaces more than a dozen (turnto10.com) — Pawtucket firefighters were among several departments called to help battle a devastating early-morning fire at a multi-family home in nearby Central Falls, which displaced more than a dozen residents. 4. 'Ella McCay' opens Friday but RI cast and crew got an early look (providencejournal.com) — A Pawtucket hair stylist was among many Rhode Islanders who reunited this week for an early cast-and-crew screening of “Ella McCay,” the James L. Brooks film shot across Providence, Pawtucket, Cranston, East Providence, and Bristol. The movie, which prominently features the State House and other local backdrops, opens in theaters nationwide Friday with some Rhode Island screenings starting Thursday afternoon.
