Pawtucket Firefighter Dies At Home Surrounded By Family
The Local 1261 lost one of its own, and firefighter unions from across Rhode Island extended their condolences on social media.

PAWTUCKET, RI — Firefighter unions and public safety organizations from across Rhode Island extended condolences today to the Pawtucket Firefighters Local 1261 on the passing of one of their members.
"May he rest in peace," tweeted the Providence Canteen.

The Office of Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien confirmed that an off-duty Pawtucket firefighter died Thursday night while surrounded by his family.

"He dedicated himself to our community and keeping our residents safe. This is a heavy loss to Pawtucket and the fire fighter community," Grebien stated. "We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers."
