Pawtucket Police Seek ID Of Man Who Shot At House

On April 15 in broad daylight, a man pumped bullets into a house on Chaplin Street. Police are asking the public to help identify him.

PAWTUCKET, RI — It was a Monday morning in April when a man or teen shot at a house on Chaplin Street in broad daylight. Now the Pawtucket Police are asking the public to help identify the suspect.

On April 15 at around 9:51 a.m., police responded to the area of Mendon Avenue and Ordway Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they learned that a home on Chaplin Street had been shot at multiple times. The house was occupied, but no one was injured, police said in a news release.

Police obtained video surveillance which appeared to show a man approach the rear of the house and pull out a dark semi-automatic handgun. The suspect fired multiple rounds into the house and then fled through the neighbor’s back yard. He appeared to be a male, dark skinned, of a thin build, and in his late teens to early 30s. He was wearing a black face mask, bright white sneakers, black pants, and a black hooded sweatshirt with red lettering and a “Freddy Krueger” hand on the back of sweatshirt, the news release said.

The Pawtucket Police Department wants to identify the suspect, and released surveillance camera images.
