Since 2016, visitors, as well as residents of Rhode Island have been enjoying the iconic beauty that married art with nature known as “Ten Thousand Suns,” the public art installation of sunflowers set against Providence’s skyline. Sad news, this year the sunflowers will not be returning to brighten up the area. The property that housed the massive flower installation has reportedly been sold to a Boston developer and it will be turned into a mixed-use apartment building. (WPRI.com)
