The latest forecast from the National Weather Service shows a chance of snow on Christmas, despite previous predictions showing a higher likelihood of a green Christmas in Rhode Island. According to the forecast, there's a chance of snow before 7 a.m. that's expected to change over to rain by mid-morning.
Santa Claus may see snowflakes as he makes his way through Rhode Island Christmas Eve night. According to the NWS, there's a chance of snow after 9 p.m., though little to no accumulation is expected.

If you're hitting the road earlier in the week to head to your holiday destination, expect clear sailing: there's no rain or snow in the forecast, except for a few flakes Thursday night and the possibility of light rain Wednesday.
