Which Portsmouth Educator Deserves Recognition? Nominate Them For Teacher Of The Year

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Which teacher in Portsmouth Public Schools went above in beyond this school year? If you'd like an opinion on the matter, the deadline to nominate an educator is fast approaching.

The deadline to nominate an educator for the 2022-23 Portsmouth Teacher of the Year Award is Friday. School officials said a nominee should be someone who:

• Is exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skillful
• Inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities
• Demonstrates the belief that all students can learn
• Has the respect and admiration of students, parents, administrators, and colleagues
• Plays an active role in the school community.

Along with teachers, school officials are also accepting nominees for the Portsmouth 2022-23 Support Professional of the Year Award.
