Portsmouth could soon see an off-leash dog park after the formation of a committee Monday night.Â
The Portsmouth Town Council granted permission Monday for the formation of a committee to explore an off-leash dog park. I want to know what you think about a dog park coming to Portsmouth.Â

Gina Toppa Yeah that would be awesome, if people have well behaved dogs.. and if they respect the rules like the Newport dog park.. great idea.
Colleen LeComte I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure of the best location, but if we keep it clean and with friendly dogs its great!
Mary O'Keefe No, because you need a separate area for the under 25 lbs dogs, and because there are too many instances where gentle dogs have been attacked at the Newport dog park. Firmly against unless you have an animal control officer on duty.
Ilesha Cherry I have to agree with Mary. My dog's are very friendly but very large. I think it is to risky to have any dog that doesn't know each other running loose. Big No from me!
