E-Waste No Longer Accepted at Portsmouth Transfer Station

The town's e-waste collection vendor has pulled out.

Citing “circumstances beyond the town’s control,” town officials have announced that the Portsmouth Transfer Station will no longer collect e-waste.

ORS, the vendor that provided the service, will be removing their “PODs” from the transfer station, though there will still be opportunities for residents to safely get rid of old computers, peripherals and other electronics.

The town is planning a collection event at a location to be determined on Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon with Indie Cycle, LLC., which accepts “anything that uses electricity” except light bulbs.
