Expect High Winds Through Afternoon
Heavy rain expected to continue throughout the day.

A wind advisory has been issued for Rhode Island through 3 p.m.
The strongest winds are forecast for 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. Southeast winds 15 - 25 mph with gusts of 45 mph are possible during this time period, according to the EMA alert, noting a National Weather Service report.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook alert for the area, noting rain will continue throughout the day, possibly becoming heavy a times, causing minor urban and poor drainage flooding in some spots. Â
