Letter: Thanks for Making Portsmouth Holiday Food Drive a Success

To the Editor,

We would like to share with your readers the generosity displayed by the Portsmouth Community in supporting the annual Portsmouth Elementary Schools Feinstein Holiday Food Drive. We received an amazing amount of support from the families of the students at Hathaway and Melville Elementary Schools as well as several local businesses and the Community as a whole. The amount of donations that poured in during this drive was inspiring.

We would like to thank all of the donors that helped to make this a very successful Holiday Food Drive. In addition to the support provided by the families of the students, we’d also like to thank these local businesses and organizations; Quonset View Farms, DeCastro Farms, Clements Market, the Portsmouth Fire Department, the Portsmouth Methodist Church, BJs Wholesale Club, and Stop and Shop of Middletown. Additionally, we’d like to thank Chris Herren and his family for the support they provided.

The generosity shown by all involved allowed our Hathaway and Melville families to have a wonderful holiday meal.
