Police said Rivera also told officers he had a gun concealed in his waistband. Officers located a nine-millimeter handgun tucked into his pants, as well as a loaded ten round magazine, police said. Rivera, who police said is not licensed to carry a concealed weapon, was then taken into custody. The other people fishing dispersed without incident.
Bail was set at $5,000 for River. As a condition of his bail, he was issued a no-trespass order for the Glen Manor House. He is scheduled to be re-arraigned Thursday in Second Division District Court in Newport.
