MA Woman Drives Intoxicated With 5-Year-Old In Car: Portsmouth Police

Portsmouth police say Christina Santos, 27, of Fall River, Massachusetts, showed signs of inebriation while driving with a child passenger.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Massachusetts woman was arrested Sunday in Portsmouth after police said she was intoxicated while driving with a 5-year-old child in the car.

Around 6:13 p.m., Portsmouth police were at Patriot Petroleum at 2340 East Main Road investigating a crash. Then, dispatch told officers on scene they received a separate 911 call about an erratic driver who struck the curb and was pulling out of the gas station.

Police said an officer pulled over the vehicle attempting to leave the lot and identified the driver as Christina Santos, 27, of Fall River, Massachusetts. Her passenger was a 5-year-old child, police said.

Police said Santos exhibited signs of intoxication, so she was arrested. Santos was charged with DUI of liquor or drugs with a child under the age of 13 as a passenger.
