Update: Minor School Bus Accident: Portsmouth Police
Traffic was snarled on East Main Road, after a car collided with a school bus on the way to the Hathaway School.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — Portsmouth Police say no one was hurt Monday when a car and a school bus collided on East Main Road near Hedly Street. The accident happened around 8:35 a.m. and was cleared around 9. According to police, a white 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by a Tiverton woman, and the bus, which was bound for the Hathaway School were involved in the collision.
"At the time of this investigation no students or operators of the vehicles were injured during the accident," police said. "Both vehicles were able to leave under their own power. No citations were issued for either operator."
