Obituary: Joseph Jesse Cabral Jr., 75

Joseph Jesse Cabral, Jr., 75, of Portsmouth died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Crestwood Nursing & Convalescent Home of Warren, RI.

Mr. Cabral, Jr. was born September 7, 1940 in Fall River, MA. He is the son of the late Joseph J. and the late Cindy (Linhares) Cabral.

He was married to Anita Medeiros for 54 years.

Mr. Cabral was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and I.T.T. Tech in Boston. He worked as a salesman and general manager for Empire Chevrolet in Fall River and many other dealerships. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather and great grandfather, and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Anita (Medeiros) Cabral, and his children Carolyn Sherman and her husband Frank and Joseph J. Cabral III. He also leaves his grandchildren Melanie Harper, Bradley and James Chace and his great grandson Julian Harper.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 9am in the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in St. Anthony’s Church 2836 East Main Road in Portsmouth.

Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery, Turnpike Avenue in Portsmouth.
