Joseph William Perry, 91, of Portsmouth died Friday, December 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of the late Marianna M. (Mendes) Perry.
Born on October 29, 1924 in Portsmouth, RI, he was the son of the late Manuel I. and Rose (Silvia) Perry.

Mr. Perry served in the US Army during World War II. He was a machinist and foreman at the former AVICA Corp. from 1954 to 1971. Mr. Perry was a communicant and usher at St. Barnabas church and was also a member of the K of C.
He is survived by his son Bruce W. Perry and his wife Donna of Metairie, LA, and Jeffrey W. Perry of Chester, VA, his sister Barbara Hull of Newport, RI, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late George F. Perry, Mary Plymesser, Margaret Hobes and Elsie Plymesser.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4-8 in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 9:00AM, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Browns Lane, Middletown.
