Portsmouth Kicks Off New Curbside Waste Collection Program!

PORTSMOUTH, RI – Exciting news for Portsmouth residents! The Town’s brand-new Curbside Waste & Recycling Program officially launched on February 10, 2025, bringing a more convenient and efficient waste collection service to households across the community.

This new program offers weekly trash and recycling pickup, along with seasonal yard waste collection, helping Portsmouth stay clean and green. Participants will receive easy-to-use carts for both trash and recycling!

We are thrilled to launch this program and provide residents with a curbside option for a reliable waste collection service. Enrollment is open now! Households can sign up by March 28, 2025, at the Tax Collector Office in Town Hall, to take advantage of this service starting July 1. A full-program guide, including collection schedules and recycling tips, will be available to all participants.
