Several Injured In Rollover Crash In Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A roll-over crash Thursday in Portsmouth sent several people to the hospital and caused a fire hydrant to launch in the air.
The crash happened in the area of East Main Road, fire officials said. Emergency crews arrived and found the car rolled over several times, before landing in its wheels.
When the car struck the fire hydrant, it was launched about 200 feet down the road until coming to a rest on the sidewalk, fire officials said.

Everyone in the car was sent to local hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not made clear.
