Snow Totals For Portsmouth: Feb. 13
The Super Bowl Sunday storm blanketed the state in several inches of light, fluffy snow.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Just a day after springlike warmth broke temperature records in Rhode Island, a Super Bowl Sunday storm blanketed the state in close to a foot of snow in some areas.
While snow was in the forecast for much of the week, it was initially expected to only be a dusting. The forecast was raised to up to six inches Sunday morning, though most communities saw far more.
Portsmouth had the highest accumulation in Newport County at 8.5 inches. The snow, which tapered off early Monday morning, prompted a one-hour delay for Portsmouth schools.
