Here are the top stories in Providence today:
- A reward for solving a Providence murder has reached $100,000. Twenty-four-year-old Miya Brophy-Baermann of Warwick was killed in a random drive-by shooting outside a friend's apartment on Olney Street in the early hours of Aug. 1. A $15,000 reward was offered days later for information in her killing; however, months later, no arrests have been made. (Turn To 10)
- Police are investigating after a Federal Hill restaurant worker was reportedly accosted by a knife-wielding man while sitting in his vehicle. Shortly after 11:30 PM on Monday night, police responded to Sicilia's Pizzeria at 181 Atwells Avenue following a report of an assault and talked with the victim who said three assailants in total approached him. A male witness said he saw what was happening and attempted to intervene when he was reportedly punched in the face by one of the masked men before they fled on foot. (Go Local Prov)
- A River Avenue home was badly damaged and two firefighters were injured in a house fire on Tuesday. (ABC6)
- Damani Green, 23 of Providence, was arrested on Monday and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon in the recent Graduate Hotel double stabbing. (Turn To 10)
- Two years ago, the Rhode Island State Police announced a major drug and gun bust of four Providence brothers including Luis Enrique Molina, who already had a lengthy record of arrests and incarceration. Now, he’s been arrested again. (Go Local Prov)
