Here are the top stories today in Providence:
- A small birthday party at the Graduate Hotel broke out into a fight, leaving two people stabbed and later hospitalized. Shortly before 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, police were dispatched to the hotel at 11 Dorrance Street. Police responded to the eighth floor where they encountered two male victims who had been stabbed in their midsections; both men were transported to Rhode Island Hospital where they were in stable condition overnight. - An officer with the Providence Police Department was recognized Saturday for his heroic actions this past summer. In July, a 7-month-old infant was inside of a car when it was stolen out of a Pawtucket parking lot. Patrolman David Impagliazzo was on the clock during the carjacking and immediately started searching for the car. Less than an hour later, the officer found the car — and the uninjured infant — in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Nellie Street. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- During the week of Dec. 13, Brown University will host its first campus-based COVID-19 booster clinic. (The Brown Daily Herald)
