Here are the top stories today in Providence:
- Amazon will be opening a brick-and-mortar store at Providence Place mall. The new store, called “Amazon 4-Star” will carry items with four-star or higher customer reviews. Retail positions are available with a starting pay of $16.50 an hour, but there’s no word yet when the store will open its doors. (WPRI.com)
- On Monday, The Rhode Island Department of Health announced they are continuing to experience delays in processing PCR tests from State-run sites. The independent laboratory, Dominion Diagnostics, has reported equipment issues associated with heavy-holiday related testing. This delay has not affected testing results from other testing sites such as retail pharmacies. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- U.S. Olympic figure-skating medalist Nancy Kerrigan will headline an all-star ice-skating show at BankNewport City Center during the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 3. (Press Release Desk)
