Central High School Administrator On Leave After 'Altercation' With Student
A video showing the incident was posted on Twitter.

PROVIDENCE, RI— A Central High assistant principal has been placed on leave after an incident Monday in the cafeteria. According to Laura Hart, director of communications for the Providence Public Schools, the administration is taking the matter seriously.
"We at Providence Public Schools were alarmed and dismayed by the physical altercation in the cafeteria at Central High School on Monday involving a student and an assistant principal," she said. "The district immediately contacted the police and put the assistant principal on administrative leave, pending a personnel review. Additionally, the school district has explicitly requested that police investigate the incident in its entirety." A student posted the altercation on Twitter.
