  1. Two men were reportedly shot at while sitting in a car in Providence on Sunday night. Shortly after 11 p.m., police responded to multiple reports of shots fired on Cyr St. by Roger Williams Park in Providence. Police observed bullet holes in the front of the vehicle and are currently investigating. (GoLocalProv)
  2. Arts organization FirstWorks will be presenting a new project, “Women Trailblazers in Music,” by Rhode Island College Artist-In-Residence Judith Lynn Stillman in Nov. The project, which was commissioned by FirstWorks and Artists & Activists Productions, will take viewers on a journey with tunes and tales by — and about — pioneering women composers who were all but expunged from history. “Women Trailblazers in Music” will premiere at Sapinsley Hall on the RIC campus on Nov. 4.   3. Ortho Rhode Island will be conducting interviews at an in-person career fair on Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, as they look to hire more than 20 positions in their Warwick, Providence, Wakefield, and Westerly locations. (WPRI.com)
  4. The Providence Board of Licenses voted unanimously to close Revel Lounge and Bistro until at least Wednesday, following a shooting at the club over the weekend. (WJAR)
  5. The Rhode Island Foundation is providing a $250,000 grant in order to purchase thousands of Narcan kits until a more sustainable source of state funding is in place. (theday.com)
