Fresh Food Shopping In Pawtucket: Wintertime Farmers Market
Even though we're nearing the middle of winter, you can still get local, fresh food at a Pawtucket farmer's market.
PAWTUCKET, RI — Even though it's chilly, you can still get fresh vegetables from the Farm Fresh Wintertime Farmers Market in Pawtucket.
"DRUM CIRCLE! KNIFE SHARPENING! MUSIC IN THE HALLWAYS!" one raving customer of the Farm Fresh Wintertime Farmers Market said. "It’s just a nice way to spend a Saturday, especially when it’s cold."
The market is in the Hope Webbing Co. building on Main Street in Pawtucket. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, you can get all your food shopping done, buying locally-sourced goods. It will run every Saturday until April 27.

"I like that you can get local product and meats in the wintertime — this is difficult to find elsewhere," another customer said.
What's more, SNAP recipients' EBT cards work doubly. "That means for every dollar swiped using your EBT card (at the farmers market Welcome Tables), you get $1 free in Bonus Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and veggies!" the market's website says.
