- The family of a Providence man who was found brutally stabbed in North Carolina during a Brian Laundrie manhunt has spoken out for the first time. Josue Calderon was one of the nine bodies discovered during the nationwide manhunts, where he was found brutally stabbed in an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Appalachian Trail. Calderon's death is being investigated as a homicide and remains active and ongoing. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- The International Portuguese Music Awards will be moving to the Providence Performing Arts Center for their 10th anniversary show on April 23. The IPMAs have been recognizing outstanding achievement in the music industry by artists of Portuguese descent since 2013. The full details and line-up for the show will be revealed on Nov. 20 at a launch party to be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center Rotunda Room. (Fall River Herald News)
- A dead dog was found in box under an overpass on Cadillac Drive in Providence, near where Gov. Dan McKee and the state's congressional delegation held a press conference on infrastructure Wednesday. (WJAR)
