  2. Democrat Brett Smiley, who has served as chief of staff for the Director of Administration under the Raimondo Administration, has officially kicked off his campaign for mayor of Providence. Smiley previously ran for mayor in 2014. (Turn to 10)
  3. Owner and head chef of The Salted Slate in Wayland Square, Ben Lloyd, will be opening “XO Bar” on North Main Street later this spring in the historic John Updike House. For Lloyd this is a homecoming of sorts, since he was he was the chef at the former XO restaurant (which closed in 2018) from 2002 to 2011. (GoLocalProv)
  4. Juveniles are terrorizing the city of Providence. In the past ten days, the capital city has suffered a wave of violence including stabbings, BB gun shootings and arson. The common denominator is that the alleged perpetrators are all juveniles. (GoLocalProv)
