Here are the top stories in Providence today:

  1. Providence Police are searching for a suspect involved in a stabbing that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday morning. Police responded to Kennedy Plaza and found a male victim bleeding from the face and back from multiple stab wounds. The victim, who told police he did not see his assailant, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. (GoLocalProv)
  2. A 31-year-old woman is in very serious condition after a car crashed into a pole on Charles St. in front of Cadillac Lounge on Saturday night. The driver, a 35-year-old man, had an open liquor bottle of Hennessy in the car and was suspected of driving under the influence. He has been issued a summons for refusal of a chemical test.   3. Providence Police are investigating after three vehicles were struck by bullets in a lot across the street from the entrance to Roger Williams Park. (WPRI.com)
  4. Pretty Woman: The Musical is playing through Oct. 16th at the Providence Performing Arts Center. (WPRI.com)
  5. Amtrak trains on the Northeast Regional route were delayed after a pedestrian was hit by a train near Providence on Sunday. (msn.com)
