Here are the top five stories in Providence today:

  1. Providence police arrested Hector Larios, age 25, for allegations of attempted kidnapping Friday. He is now facing enticement and assault charges. A witness told police they had seen Larios approach a group of juveniles selling candy at Plainfield and Rye Street, and that juveniles began shouting that Larios was trying to kidnap them.   2. Angelo Gomez, 30, who was shot April 1 outside of Wonderland Gentlemen’s Club on Allen’s Avenue has died. The shooting remains under investigation and no one has been arrested. (WPRI.com)
  3. The Providence Performing Arts Center to open the Tony Award-winning, biographical musical, “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations” on April 12. The show will run through April 17 and is based on a novel retelling the Temptations’ story from the perspective of Otis Williams. (The Providence Journal)
  4. Moving to a permanent home, the Providence River Boat Company Announces its new location, complete with storefront, at 101 Dyer Street, Providence. The move will happen in May. Be sure to check it out! (GoLocalProv)
