Providence Baby Girl Admitted To Hasbro: DCYF
The Department of Children, Youth and Families is reporting a 7-month-old baby girl was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit.
PROVIDENCE, RI — The Department of Children, Youth and Families is reporting a 7-month-old baby girl was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. The child was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital on Jan. 22. The investigation has confirmed the baby is a victim of "maltreatment," the agency said. The Child Advocate has been advised.
According to DCYF spokeswoman Kerri White, this incident is the agency's first involvement with the family. No additional information is available.
