Providence Man Arrested On Drug Charges: Cops

The Providence man was arrested by the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on felony drug charges, police said.

Daniel Cooper, 28, was charged Tuesday with possession with the intent to deliver an ounce to a kilogram of cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver an ounce to a kilogram of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver crack Cocaine and possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, police said.

Cooper, a resident of Bellevue Avenue, was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, according to police.

"Mr. Cooper was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing and then to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment," police said.
