Providence Man Arrested On Drug and Weapon Charges: Cops

The Providence man was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police.

PROVIDENCE — A Providence man was arrested on drug and weapon charges Thursday, police said.

Marvin Flores, 29, was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police Major Crimes Unit about 9 p.m., according to a media release.

Flores, a resident of Peace Street, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant, the release said.

Flores was charged with manufacturing/selling/possessing with intent to manufacture and sell cocaine, felony drug conspiracy, possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, large capacity feeding devices prohibited, and rental of motor vehicles – license required, police said.

Flores was arraigned and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center after being held without bail, the release said.

State police Capt. David Bassignani failed to respond to a request for further information on Flores' arrest.
