Currently with 96 classroom vacancies in Providence schools the Providence Public School District has announced that it is now offering more incentives to fill positions, in its earliest-ever hiring process. The district is looking to offer sign-on bonuses of up to $10,000 for hard-to-fill positions, including multi-lingual and special education. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
  2. Looking for proposals that unite people and communities the Rhode Island Foundation Community Grants are being offered through March 31. The grants are being offered to community groups, libraries, schools and non-profits. (Warwick Post)
  3. Proving what Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements has said in the past; that there is an uptick in convenience stores being robbed in the city. The City Gas & Food Mart on Elmwood Avenue was robbed on Wednesday night shortly before 7 p.m. The suspect was wielding a rock. (GoLocalProv)
