  1. Nathanael Greene Middle School was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon, as a safety precaution, after a student was found with an unloaded gun. Reportedly a spokesperson for the district said school staff confiscated the firearm around 1:30 p.m. and the police were called. No one was hurt and the matter is being investigated further.   2. Spring is baby season in the animal world and the peregrine falcon hatchlings that live on top of the iconic Superman building, with their parents, are right on time. Caught on camera by the Audobon Society of Rhode Island two hatchlings were witnessed being fed their first meals. Nature at its best, 30 floors above a bustling metropolitan hub.   3. Classical High School Principal Scott Barr has been named the 2022 Rhode Island Principal of the Year! Unsuspecting that he was being bestowed with this great honor, Barr went to the school’s auditorium for a jazz band concert Friday morning and heard more than music. (WPRI.com)
  4. The coronavirus is holding on in the Ocean State with a reported 6.4 positivity rate. The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 457 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
  5. Doubling the number of non-stop flights it had in 2016, T.F. Green airport got two more non-stop flights added to its list. The flights are on Frontier Airlines to Denver and Raleigh-Durham. (Patch)
