Here are the top three stories in Providence today:
- There is currently no hard and fast rule as to exactly how many apartments will be in the renovated "Superman" building, architects are reportedly still figuring it out, but the agreement assumes 285 units, with 57 income restriction units. However, there is a rising stir of concern as to how affordable, affordable units in the building will actually be since the project's inception in 2013 painted a very different real estate picture than the current market is representing. - A hit and run accident that occurred Friday night around 8 p.m. has left one man in critical condition. The accident happened at the 1200 block of Broad Street, near Roger William’s Park Zoo. The victim was struck by a vehicle while he was attempting to cross the street. (WPRI.com)
- A two-car accident that occurred early Saturday morning, resulted in a Nissan Murano rolling over several times. Reportedly all occupants of both cars were uninjured. The drivers of both cars involved said they each had a green light at the intersection at the time of the crash. Both police and fire responded to the accident. (GoLocalProv)
