Wanted New Yorker Captured In Providence: Cops
The New York man was wanted in Pennsylvania, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A fugitive from New York was captured in Providence, police said.
Ishmel Griggs, 31, of Hempstead was arrested during a 12:30 a.m. traffic stop on Candace Street, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Griggs was wanted in Newberry Township, Pennsylvania, on charges of forced entry, criminal trespass, access to device fraud, theft by unlawful taking, possession of an instrument of a crime with intent and criminal mischief, according to the release.

"Griggs was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center," the release said.
