Town Of Richmond: Seeking Town Moderator

The Town of Richmond is soliciting applications for the position of Town Moderator.  The appointment would be to fill the unexpired term of the former Moderator which expires on December 31, 2022.Per Chapter 2.46.020  of the Code of Ordinances, the Town Council shall appoint a Town Moderator to serve for a term of two years to expire on December 31. The appointment shall be made from among the candidates recommended by the Town Administrator. The Town Moderator shall preside at all regular and special financial town meetings during his or her term of office, and shall perform any duty required by chapter 55 of the R.I. public laws of 1958, as amended, related to school district financial meetings.The annual stipend for the Town Moderator is $500.00.Interested individuals should submit an application to the Town Clerk's Office no later than March 30, 2022 at 4pm.  The application form can be found at http://www.richmondri.com/DocumentCenter/View/370/BoardCommission-Application?bidId=.  Please list any meeting management experience you possess.
