Friday Five: Weather, Trash, Books Drive, Claim

Weather - So, it's been winter for about a week now, and Mother Nature has gotten the memo. Despite yesterday's wet, warm 47 degree rainstorm, cooler temps will prevail over the weekend and will likely bring some snow on Saturday and again on Sunday. Set your boots and shovels by the door.

Book drive - Through Dec. 30, Barnes & Noble Smithfield will be holding a book drive for St. Marys Home for Children. Friday, Dec. 28. Donate books to the cause at their store, 371 Putnam Pike Smithfield, RI 02917.

Animal Control - The guys at the animal shelter are on facebook now. Stay abreast of the latest there. 

Trash - Normal scheduled pickups are one day later thanks to the holiday week (For example, for a Monday holiday, Monday pickup is Tuesday, Tuesday pickup is Wednesday ..and Friday pickup is Saturday.)
