Recalled Eggo Waffles Not Shipped to RI
You might not have to let go of that Eggo whole wheat waffle.

PROVIDENCE, RI—The state Department of Health issued a consumer advisory on Tuesday warning of possible listeria contamination in about 10,000 cases of Kellog's Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles that were sold in 25 states.
Rhode Island was not one of those states. They were sold in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

The company has received no reports of any illnesses so far.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

People who purchased this product should discard it and contact the company for a full refund. Consumers can call 1-800-962-1413.
On Monday, the health department warned residents that Censea, Inc., is recalling its A-PAC 8/12 count headless shell on black tiger shrimp because of the potential for Salmonella contamination.
The shrimp was sent to Rhode Island and several other states. No illnesses have been reported and the product is being recalled "out of an abundance of caution after testing by the Arizona Department of Health Services indicated the presence of Salmonella," the health department said.
