Smithfield Police Arrest Woman for Throwing Glass At Man, Striking Him

The following arrest information was provided by the Smithfield Police department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

On Monday, April 15, Smithfield Police received a walk-in complaint from Kevin Maiorano, 20, of Easton, CT, who reported he'd been assaulted over the weekend at Bryant University.

Maiorano said he did not wish to press charges, but he did ask police to speak with his attacker, Kelsey Greene, 21, of 263 Ventura St., Ludlow, MA about the severity of the incident, according to the Smithfield Police report on the incident.

Smithfield Police did speak with Greene, who said she'd apologized to Maiorano. Police also spoke with a witness to the assault, which occurred when Greene threw a drinking glass at Maiorano, striking him in the head and causing a laceration. Bryant University officials and Smithfield Police also took photos of Maiorano's injury.

Ultimately, Smithfield Police charged Greene with assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony.
