Smithfield Police Log July 5 - 7: Assisting on Fires, Stolen Lawnmower, Hit and Run

The following information was provided by the Smithfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 5:

• At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield Police responded to 10 Halsey Drive for a couch on the side of the house that was on fire.
• At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to a home on Indian Run Trail for a domestic assault report. 
• At about 3:45 p.m., Smithfield Police received a report of a lawnmower stolen from the Smithfield Highway Department.
• At about 11:45 p.m., Smithfield Police arrested Michael Greene, 20, for driving with a suspended license. 

Saturday, July 6:

• At about 7:45 a.m., Smithfield Police responded to 204 Pinewood Dr. to assist the fire department at the address. The fire department had to force entry into the home because of smoke in the building.

• At about 11:45 p.m., Smithfield Police responded to 22 Pine Ridge Drive for a report of a hit and run on an unattended vehicle sometime overnight.
