Suspect In Home Invasion Arrested: Smithfield Police

A Providence man was identified in connection with an Oct. 18 home invasion in Smithfield.

SMITHFIELD, RI—Police say they have arrested one of the three suspects who allegedly broke into a Barnes Street home on Oct. 18 and assaulted the couple living there. Aaron Threats, 21, of Providence, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. He was taken into custody on Ringgold Street, in the City, police said.

He was charged with Burglary and two counts of first degree Robbery and arraigned in Third District Court. Threats was held without bail as a violator of bail on separate charges, police said. He is due back in court on Nov. 14. The investigation is ongoing.
