Dozens of crushed cars caught fire​ at General Auto Recycling Store off King Road. There were no fire hydrants on site, fire officials say.

TIVERTON, RI — Tiverton and Massachusetts firefighters extinguished a massive fire at an auto lot in town on Wednesday morning.

Dozens of crushed cars caught fire at General Auto Recycling Store off King Road, WPRI 12 reported. Since there were no fire hydrants on site, several tanker trucks needed to be called in, including crews from as far as Raynham, Massachusetts, Fire Chief William Bailey told WPRI 12.
