Pedestrians Pinned Between Cars by Elderly Driver
The 86-year-old man hit the gas in stead of the brakes at the Little Compton transfer station on Saturday.

TRANSFER STATION ACCIDENT
Two people were pinned between two vehicles after an 86-year-old man hit the gas instead of the brakes at the town’s transfer station on Saturday, according to Little Compton police.
Police said the incident happened at around 3:09 p.m. and one of the two pedestrians was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The other refused treatment.
The operator, a Little Compton resident, was not charged and the incident was deemed an accident.

FOUND DRONE
Police said a South Shore Road resident on Saturday turned in a drone he found lying on his front deck. Police put it in the department’s lost and found.
CHILD IN CLOSET
Police responded to a Bramblewood Cross house on Saturday for a report of a missing child that was found hiding in a closet, police said. Police were dispatched at around 9:30 p.m.

Other incidents reported by Little Compton police:
- Police responded to Adamsville Wine & Spirits on Dec. 21 for a report of a person who seemed intoxicated. Police said officers responded at around 8 p.m. and discovered that she was having a medical issue and was not intoxicated.
- Early Thursday at around 1:46 p.m., police responded to an East Main Road address for a report of a domestic argument. Police resolved the matter after talking with everyone involved and no arrests were made.
- A dog was found wandering on John Dyer Road at around 8:18 p.m. on Saturday. The dog was transported to the Sakonnet Vet.
- Nobody was hurt after a two-car crash at the intersection of Crandall Road and Main Street. Police said cars being driven by a 34-year-old Tiverton man and a 28-year-old Fall River, Mass., woman collided. There was slight damage to each vehicle.
- A 64-year-old Cumberland man on Dec. 21 told police that he hit a dear while driving on West Main Road at around 6:26 p.m. Nobody was hurt, the vehicle suffered slight damage and the deer could not be located.
